Experience
After completing my degree requirements at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, I began my career as a professional educator. I'm certified to teach students from the 7th to 12th grades in Earth/Life Sciences. My career began as a member of Teach for America Corps working out of the Mississippi Delta. Teach For America Corp (TFA) gives new college graduates the opportunity to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds excel academically. Teachers must be willing to dedicate two years of their life to the project. I've been with the project for the past three years. Thanks to this program, I've had the chance to work with pupils from various socioeconomic backgrounds. I tutor zoology, paleontology, molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, general biology, evolutionary biology, cell biology, science, ecology, life sciences, and earth and environmental science. I also help prepare students to take standardized skill tests such as IB Biology SL, IB Environmental Systems and Societies SL, and AP Biology. When I have the time, I enjoy photography, reading, soccer, hiking, and yoga.
